EXSUM: OPERATION SPARTAN TARGETING BITONAI AND NADR (14 DEC) On 14 DEC, Operation Spartan was conducted by 373 in coordination with TF Eagle to kill or capture Nadr and Bitonai. This operation was intended to disrupt ACM IED operations in the TF Eagle area of operations. Three hours prior to the operation, TF Eagle sent Havoc 1-6 element and Havoc 2-6 element to set up blocking positions to the North and South of the objectives. The 373 element conducted an AASLT into the vicinity of Objective Bitonai and cleared the entire compound. None of the targeted individuals were at that location. The 373 element then moved to Objective Nadr in search for the targeted individuals. They came across a source that informed them that the two targets were located approximately three kilometers south of the first two objectives. The 373 element conducted a dismounted movement along with the information source and arrived at a compound located at grid 42S VB 94535 23725. At this location, the 373 element captured the two main targets, Nadr and Bitonai. Along with the two targets, they captured and detained an additional thirty-three ACM affiliated males. There are a total of thirty-five detainees that were AASLT back to FOB Orgun-E along with the 373 element. The Havoc element moved in to the objectives to cordon off the area to facilitate ASG as they conduct a thorough search of the objectives on 15 December. Further questioning will be conducted with the two targeted individuals, along with the detainees at FOB Orgun-E.
