The first phase of repairs on the Bazarak boys high school is now completed. The school was damaged by a pipe bomb in July. Using CERP-funds the PRT not only repaired broken glass and holes in the building from the pipe bomb, but we also painted, fixed doors, leveled the backyard play area and did numerous other handyman projects. During his visit Mountain 6 told the schools principal he would further fund more work to flatten and concrete the front courtyard as well as fixing another collapsing classroom. These projects will be part of phase II. This project clearly shows that while some destroy schools, the PRT aggressively repairs them. This project has the support of the governor and all the local leaders and demonstrates USG resolve in what has been an at times a difficult village.
